Inspire EHC is an Education Agency that specialises in Special Educational Needs. We are proud to support SEN Schools, Alternative Provision, Pupil Referral Units and Mainstream Schools across Suffolk.

We are currently working with an ‘Outstanding’ KS 1 Alternative Provision (AP) in Suffolk who is looking for a Head of School. My Client is looking for an enthusiastic Head of School that will lead from the front ensuring all the learners within the Alternative Provision receive the best platform for education.

Head of School Responsibilities: 

  • Operational day to day management of the school’s provision including timetable responsibility.

  • Ensuring high quality provision/TLA delivery across the centre

  • Lead on quality assurance mechanisms across the school with regards to pupil and parent

  • Lead on managing relationships with parents and their families to improve outcomes for their child(ren) in the school.

Head of School Requirements:

  • Treat people fairly, equitably, and with dignity and respect to create and maintain a positive school culture.

  • Take on any additional responsibilities which might from time to time be agreed with the Head Teacher.

  • Have experience in working with young people with Social, Emotional, Mental, Health (SEMH),

  • Have experience in working with challenging behaviour.

  • Have experience of supporting young people who have been subjected to Trauma.

  • Ensure staff training and support standards are maintained.

  • Experience of school leadership.
