English & Outreach Lead Teacher
Location: Wolverhampton

Are you an experienced English teacher looking to take the next step in your career? We are currently seeking expressions of interest on behalf of one of our specialist education clients as they prepare to open an exciting new provision in Wolverhampton.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the development of a new educational setting, helping to shape its culture, curriculum and approach from the very beginning. We're looking for a passionate and committed teacher who can deliver outstanding English teaching while supporting outreach provision for pupils who require a more personalised approach to education.
The Role
As the English & Outreach Lead Teacher, you will lead the delivery of engaging and high-quality English lessons, promote strong literacy skills across the provision and support students accessing outreach or alternative education programmes. Working closely with colleagues, families and external professionals, you will help create an inclusive learning environment where every young person is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons that inspire and motivate learners.
- Promote literacy across the curriculum, supporting reading, writing and communication development.
- Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes that meet the needs of individual pupils.
- Support outreach provision for students who require alternative or flexible educational arrangements.
- Monitor progress, assess attainment and adapt teaching strategies to maximise student achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share effective teaching practices.
- Contribute to personalised learning plans and EHCP outcomes where appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external professionals to support student success.
- Promote high expectations for behaviour, attendance and engagement.
- Help establish a nurturing, inclusive and supportive learning environment within the new provision.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching English within mainstream, specialist or alternative provision settings.
- A strong understanding of effective literacy teaching and intervention strategies.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or other additional learning needs.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for improving educational outcomes for children and young people.
Previous leadership experience or involvement in curriculum development would be advantageous but is not essential.
