Adapting lessons and activities to meet individual students’ needs. Providing feedback and maintaining accurate records. Assisting with personal care when required. Supervising pupils during educational visits and breaks. Promoting independence, teamwork and positive behaviour. Using ICT tools to enhance learning. Working collaboratively with parents, teachers and other professionals. Skills & Requirements Previous experience supporting students with special educational needs is highly desirable. A compassionate, patient and understanding approach to working with children and young people. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A commitment to safeguarding, equality and promoting the welfare of young people. A valid Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to apply for one. Ability to commute to Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
