  • Position: Teaching Assistant

  • Hours: 8:45 am to 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday (5 days per week, term time)

  • Actual Salary: £85.00 - 95.00 Per Day PAYE

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: 

  • Provide one-on-one support and assistance to students with autism and complex needs. 
  • Help students with their academic, social, and personal development. 
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. 
  • Support the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.  
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the positive development of students. 
  • Foster a safe and nurturing atmosphere for students to thrive in. 
  • Maintain a safe, clean and tidy learning environment. 

Requirements: 

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, or working with individuals with autism and complex needs is desirable, or just a passion to do so! 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by students with special needs. 
  • Patience and resilience to provide consistent support and care. 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students. 
  • Relevant qualifications in special education or related fields are desirable, or the willingness to work towards relevant qualifications. 
  • Be commutable to Leatherhead, Surrey.
