About the 1:1 Teaching Assistant Role

Inspire EHC are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire, who are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary‑aged learner with additional needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference each day. You’ll be supporting one child throughout the school day, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships. The school is committed to nurturing every child’s strengths and ensuring they feel safe, valued, and understood.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support to a primary‑aged learner with additional needs
  • Adapt learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
  • Promote emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour
  • Build a trusting, supportive relationship with the learner
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, external professionals, and parents
  • Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and child‑centred learning environment

About You
