About the Role

1:1 Teaching Assistant – Great Bookham, Surrey

Are you looking for a fulfilling 1:1 role in a mainstream primary school where you can offer dedicated support to students with Autism and additional learning needs? This position is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the educational and social development of children, helping them to flourish in a mainstream classroom environment while addressing their unique challenges and needs.

Position Details:

  • Location: Great Bookham, Surrey
  • Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
  • Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)
  • Day Rate: £84.05 - £90 per day (Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay)
  • Contract: Contract/Temp

Key Responsibilities for the 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a primary-aged student, enabling them to fully access the curriculum.
  • Assist the class teacher in fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Offer tailored academic and emotional support to the student based on their specific needs.
  • Help build the student’s confidence and promote their personal growth in a supportive and nurturing setting.

What We’re Looking for in a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

  • A genuine passion for supporting children and contributing to their development.
  • A reliable individual who understands the importance of routine and consistency in helping young learners.
  • Strong communication skills with a patient, empathetic, and caring approach.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday from 08:30 - 15:30.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Ability to commute to the rural location near Great Bookham, Surrey.
