About the Role

Our client, a reputable SEN school, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Permanent SEN Teacher for their KS3 Nurture program. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of students with special educational needs near Leatherhead, Surrey.

SEN Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to the needs of the pupils
  • Support the emotional and social development of students
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive learning environment
  • Delivering and developing the curriculum in consideration of student needs
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary team members for optimal educational outcomes

SEN Teacher Qualifications:

  • Experience as qualified teaching staff.
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
  • Experience in a special school environment, particularly with students having ASC and SEND
  • Evidence of delivering a differentiated curriculum
  • Knowledge of autism and related conditions, and their impacts on learning
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery for students with SEND
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs.
  • Commute to semi-rural location near Leatherhead, Surrey.
