You’ll work closely with teachers and the wider team to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with autism and complex needs. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies. Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and promoting a positive learning experience. Encourage students’ independence, confidence, and personal development. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ensure a safe, nurturing, and well-organised classroom environment. SEN Teacher - Year 7 Location: Effingham Salary: £160 – £230 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP We are currently working with specialist school in Effingham, that provides high-quality academic and therapeutic provision for students aged 11–16 with autism and associated behavioural and communication difficulties. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and nurturing Year 7 Teacher to lead a small Year 7 class of 6 learners who are cognitively working at approximately Year 3/4 level. The pupils present with ASD and SEMH needs, and you will be supported in the classroom by an experienced HLTA and TA. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not essential; however, candidates must be willing to work towards QTS and demonstrate a strong commitment to professional development.
