Teaching Assistants Required – SEN Settings

We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across a range of SEN schools and provisions in Guildford, Surrey. These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to learn and develop within positive, inclusive environments.

 

Location: Guildford, Surrey
Roles: SEN Teaching Assistants – Level 2 & Level 3
Start Date: January / February 2026
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour (including holiday pay)

 

The Role:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons

  • Adapt activities to meet individual learning and behavioural needs

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support where required

  • Assist with lesson planning, resources, and classroom organisation

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Encourage confidence, independence, and active participation

 

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

  • A genuine interest in supporting pupils with ASD and SEMH needs

  • Previous experience within a school or similar setting

  • Calm, patient, and inclusive approach

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
