Position Details:

  • Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00-15:30 (Term-Time Only)
  • Salary: £95-£105/Day inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise engaging learning resources and activities.
  • Adapt lessons to meet students’ needs.
  • Provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with personal care when required.
  • Supervise pupils during educational visits and breaks.
  • Promote independence, teamwork, and positive behaviour.
  • Use ICT tools to enhance learning.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and professionals.

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Skills and Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach to working with children.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Must be able to commute to Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
