About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN Support Assistant, you will work closely with a child with special educational needs, providing tailored and consistent support throughout the school day. You will help the pupil engage with learning, develop confidence, and build positive relationships within the school community.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualised support during lessons and transitions
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and encouraging positive behaviour
  • Helping implement personalised strategies in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Creating a calm and inclusive learning environment
  • Encouraging social interaction and participation in school life
  • Supporting the child in achieving personal and educational goals
