Position Overview
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 08:30-16:15
Salary: £13.80 - £15.80 per hour
Contract: Long-term / Temp-to-Perm
About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping students with complex mental health needs thrive in a nurturing and structured environment. You’ll:
- Provide consistent emotional and educational support to students across all age groups.
- Assist in building a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere.
- Work closely with experienced staff to uphold high standards of safeguarding and care.
- Help students overcome daily challenges, build confidence, and celebrate their achievements.
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and committed – able to work full-time and be a steady presence for the students.
- Enthusiastic and empathetic – with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference.
- Proactive and adaptable – ready to support students with a wide range of needs.
- Drivers only – a valid driving licence is required due to the rural school location.
While prior experience working with young people or in education is an advantage, it’s your motivation and enthusiasm that matter most.
