The Role: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 15:30
Pay: £85 – £90 per day (inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)
Contract: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build warm, positive relationships to create a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups across a range of subjects and needs
  • Assist in delivering personalised, differentiated lessons
  • Promote independence and positive behaviour through encouragement and structure
  • Help with classroom activities, transitions, and maintaining routines
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of pupils and the wider school community
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet educational goals

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable mindset
  • Understanding of safeguarding and a strong commitment to inclusion
  • Full-time right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer sponsorship)
  • Ability to reliably commute to Welwyn Garden City
