Residential Support Worker – South Hertfordshire

Inspire EHC is looking for a compassionate, resilient Residential Support Worker to join our team in Mid Hertfordshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, providing consistent, high-quality care within a supportive residential setting in South Hertfordshire.

About the role
As a Residential Support Worker based in South Hertfordshire, you'll provide day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support to young people living in our residential home, helping them build confidence, independence, and life skills. You'll work closely with the wider team to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where every young person feels valued.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting young people with daily routines, education, and personal development
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • Maintaining accurate records and care plans
  • Working shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins as required (rota to be confirmed)
  • Working in line with safeguarding policies and care standards

What we're looking for

  • Experience working with children or young people in a care setting is desirable but not essential; full training is provided
  • A caring, patient, and resilient nature
  • Strong communication skills
  • A full UK driving licence (if required for the role)
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
