About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated professional to join our partner SEMH Specialist School in Worksop as a SEMH Teacher. If you are passionate about supporting learners with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and helping them build confidence, independence, and a love for learning, we want to hear from you!
- Location: Near Worksop
- Contract: Full-time, Permanent (Term-time only)
- Pay: £27,456 - £43,014
- Start Date: January 2026
Own transport essential due to rural location

SEMH Teacher Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual students and small groups
- Prepare teaching resources, maintain registers, and produce progress reports
- Support learners’ development by encouraging independence and building confidence
- Manage behaviour effectively, using de-escalation strategies and therapeutic approaches
- Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and external professionals to support learner progress
- Bring enthusiasm for outdoor education and adventure activities (desirable)
SEMH Teacher Requirements:
- Brings a committed and passionate approach to working with students with SEMH needs
- Has a minimum of two years’ experience in an SEMH or specialist SEND environment
- Holds experience in either Primary or Secondary education
- QTS/QTLS Qualification is desirable
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential, due to rural location)
