About the Role
SEN Teacher – Alternative Provision (SEMH)
Northampton, Northamptonshire
Full-Time, Long-Term
Are you a passionate, resilient and creative Teacher who thrives on making a real difference for young people who need it most? An Alternative Provision in Northampton is looking for committed SEN Teachers to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is an opportunity to work with secondary-aged learners who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). The provision is dedicated to helping students re-engage with learning through tailored, meaningful and inspiring education and they’re looking for Teachers who share that mission.
SEN Teacher Role
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for secondary learners
- Creating a safe, supportive and consistent learning environment
- Building positive relationships that encourage confidence, resilience and progress
- Working collaboratively with a skilled, nurturing team
- Committing to a full-time, Monday–Friday role with long-term continuity in Northampton, Northamptonshire
What We’re Looking For in a SEN Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching secondary-aged learners
- Strong understanding of SEMH needs and trauma-informed practice
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs
- A calm, empathetic and proactive approach
- Full-time availability and commitment to a long-term position
- Commutable to Northampton, Northamptonshire
