About the Role
SEN Teaching Assistant – Near Cranleigh, Surrey
Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We’re looking for compassionate, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a fantastic specialist school near Cranleigh, Surrey.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is nurturing, resilient, and eager to support young people aged 5–19 with complex learning needs, social communication difficulties, and challenging behaviours.
The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver a tailored curriculum designed to meet each pupil’s unique needs. You’ll support students one-to-one and in small groups (class sizes range from 4–10), helping them access learning, build life skills, and reach their potential in a supportive, therapy-led environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting daily routines, therapy sessions, and educational activities.

Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging social interaction.

Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to meet individual learning goals.
What We’re Looking For in a SEN Teaching Assistant:

A caring, empathetic individual who is passionate about helping young people thrive.

Experience supporting children with SEN is beneficial but not essential, your attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are what matter most.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A proactive and flexible approach to meeting the needs of each pupil.

Ability to commute reliably to Near Cranleigh, Surrey.
