Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire Start Date: April 2026 Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 15:30 (term time only) Pay: £95.00 - £105 p/Day (including holiday pay) Contract: Temp to Permanent Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities: Build trusting, consistent relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and supported Assist with delivering personalised learning plans that encourage development and engagement Provide 1:1 and small group support focusing on communication, behaviour regulation, and sensory needs Support pupils with personal care and mobility as required, following individual care plans Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to create a cohesive and positive learning environment Help pupils develop independence through community-based activities and life skills. Please note that the role does involve some regular physical activity e.g. interventions, interacting with students through play on the floor and responding promptly to escalated situations. We are supporting a specialist independent SEN day school that provides a highly tailored learning environment for children and young people aged 6 to 19.
