Key Responsibilities as a School Administrator:

As a School Administrator in our Bury St Edmunds-based school, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of administrative operations with a focus on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will handle day-to-day tasks such as data entry, scheduling meetings, updating SEN records, liaising with staff and parents, and providing essential support to the SENCO.

The successful School Administrator will need to be confident in managing sensitive information, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a strong understanding of the education sector, particularly SEN processes and EHCP coordination.

School Administrator Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a School Administrator within an educational setting

  • Strong understanding of SEN procedures and terminology

  • Familiarity with school systems such as SIMS or Arbor (preferred)

  • Excellent organisational and IT skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
