Your Key Responsibilities:
Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and secure
Assist in delivering structured and engaging lessons tailored to each pupil’s individual learning needs
Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with ASD, PMLD, and SLD, focusing on communication, sensory regulation, and emotional development
Encourage personal growth, independence, and positive behaviour in line with the school’s values
Support pupils with personal care, physiotherapy, and any additional needs as required
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to deliver consistent and effective support
Contribute to a calm, well-organised, and inclusive classroom environment
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with ASD, PMLD, or SLD, ideally in an educational or care setting
A caring, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
An understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and equal opportunities
An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
