Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group lessons for students aged 11–16 across core subjects
Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners in outreach and alternative provision
Travel across Shrewsbury, Shropshire to deliver flexible tuition in community or school-based settings
Build strong relationships with students, families, and external professionals
Track and report progress to ensure clear learning outcomes
Requirements for Outreach Tutor Shropshire Role
Experience teaching or tutoring learners aged 11–16 in SEND, SEMH, or alternative provision settings
Ability to adapt quickly to different learning contexts
Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
QTS/QTLS is desirable, but skilled unqualified tutors are welcome to apply

The Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
Build strong, trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe and supported.
Assist in delivering creative, individualised lessons tailored to a range of needs.
Provide 1:1 and small group support, focusing on communication, sensory integration, and emotional regulation.
Promote independence and encourage positive behaviour.
Support with personal care, physiotherapy, and other individual needs.

What We’re Looking For in SEN Teaching Assistants:

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities Include:
• Providing invaluable support to learners aged 5-19 within an SEN School environment.
