Hours: 08:30-16:00 Mon-Thurs, 08:30-15:35 Fri (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £13.80-£15.80 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

The Role: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:
Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver a tailored, person-centred curriculum
Support students one-to-one and in small groups (class sizes range from 4-10)
Help pupils build confidence, life skills, and independence in a supportive, therapy-led environment
Assist with daily routines, educational activities, and therapy sessions
Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to meet individual learning goals
What we’re looking for in a Level 3 Teaching Assistant:
A caring, empathetic individual with a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
Previous SEN experience is an advantage but not essential; your attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are most important!
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive, flexible approach to supporting young people
Ability to commute reliably to Cranleigh, Surrey
A Full UK Driving Licence

SENDCo Key Responsibilities:
Support with the strategic development of SEND provision in the school.
Complete Annual Reviews, Interim Reviews, and Emergency Reviews of EHCPs in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and coordinate provision for individual pupils with SEND or disabilities.
Oversee looked-after pupils within the school.
Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies.
Advise on the use of school budgets and resources to meet pupils’ needs effectively, including staff development.
Promote inclusion in the school community and access to the curriculum.
Lead and manage staff and the effective deployment of staff and resources.
Lead on interventions to support all pupils.
Take lead on quality assurance of teaching and learning, with a focus on SEND provision.
Attend and review PEP meetings.
SENDCo Requirements:
Accredited SENDCo qualification.
QTS or QTLS.

Designated Safeguarding Lead Key Responsibilities:
Safeguarding and Child Protection
Act as the lead professional for all safeguarding and child protection matters, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance (e.g., Keeping Children Safe in Education).
Be the primary point of contact for safeguarding concerns, liaising with social services, police, and the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).
Maintain accurate and confidential safeguarding records using CPOMs.
Provide safeguarding training, guidance, and support to staff, embedding a culture of vigilance and accountability.
Lead safeguarding audits and oversee safer recruitment practices.
Staff and Student Debriefs
Conduct and oversee debrief sessions after incidents, supporting emotional wellbeing.
Provide reflective practice sessions for staff to improve safeguarding practice.
Ensure appropriate follow-up interventions and support are provided to students.
Strategic Leadership in Safeguarding

Proven experience in a DSL or senior safeguarding role.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, guidance, and best practices.

Ability to conduct debriefs and support wellbeing after safeguarding incidents.
