SEN Teaching Assistant – (Horsham, Surrey)

About the Role

  • Location: Near Horsham, Surrey
  • Hours: Full-time – Monday to Thursday (08:30–16:00), Friday (08:30–15:45)
  • Pay: £13.50–£14.50 per hour
  • Contract: Long-term / Temp-to-Perm
  • Driving licence: Required (rural setting)

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll be the steady, compassionate presence that students can rely on. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff, you’ll help create a safe and inspiring space where every learner can flourish.

You’ll:

  • Support children and young people with complex mental health or learning needs.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and self-esteem through empathy and consistency.
  • Provide emotional and behavioural support during lessons and activities.
  • Celebrate progress—big or small—and help students reach their personal goals.
