SEN Teaching Assistant – (Crawley, Surrey)

We’re looking for a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional specialist school near Crawley, Surrey. This is your chance to be part of a team that genuinely changes lives—helping students grow in confidence, independence, and happiness every single day.
About the Role
- Location: Near Crawley, Surrey
- Hours: Full-time – Monday to Thursday (08:30–16:00), Friday (08:30–15:45)
- Pay: £13.50–£14.50 per hour
- Contract: Long-term / Temp-to-Perm
- Driving licence: Required (rural setting)
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll be the steady, compassionate presence that students can rely on. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff, you’ll help create a safe and inspiring space where every learner can flourish.
You’ll:
- Support children and young people with complex mental health or learning needs.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and self-esteem through empathy and consistency.
- Provide emotional and behavioural support during lessons and activities.
- Celebrate progress—big or small—and help students reach their personal goals.
