EYFS / Primary Teacher - Specialist School
Location: Banham, Norfolk

About the school
This is a friendly, supportive school set in the Norfolk countryside, specialising in supporting children and young people with autism and related needs. With small class sizes, a nurturing ethos and bespoke support from a skilled therapeutic and clinical team, the school aims to help every pupil feel safe, valued and able to flourish.
Here, pupils benefit from an autism-friendly environment, with tailored learning pathways that respect their individual communication, social, sensory and learning needs.
The role

Full-time EYFS/Primary Teacher (ages early years to primary phase)

Deliver a differentiated, well-structured curriculum designed for children with autism and associated needs

Work closely with therapists, support staff and families to support both learning and emotional, social development

Create a safe, calm and engaging learning environment where every child feels understood

We’re seeking someone who:

Has experience working with children with autism - understands the challenges and strengths this can bring

Is patient, kind, and committed to building trusting relationships with pupils who may need extra emotional or sensory support

Can adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs - using creativity, structure, and compassion

Believes every child can succeed when given the right support, and is ready to advocate for their wellbeing and progress
