Work collaboratively with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons. Foster independence, confidence and social development. Partner with therapists and support staff to meet pupils’ holistic needs. Maintain a safe, positive and well-organised classroom environment. We are looking for someone who: Has experience working in an SEN setting, particularly with pupils with autism and complex communication needs. SEN Teacher - Year 7 Location: Effingham Salary: £160 – £230 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP We are currently working with specialist school in Effingham, that provides high-quality academic and therapeutic provision for students aged 11–16 with autism and associated behavioural and communication difficulties. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and nurturing Year 7 Teacher to lead a small Year 7 class of 6 learners who are cognitively working at approximately Year 3/4 level. The pupils present with ASD and SEMH needs, and you will be supported in the classroom by an experienced HLTA and TA. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not essential; however, candidates must be willing to work towards QTS and demonstrate a strong commitment to professional development.
